Rerouted is a family-run company based in Christchurch. We plan and drive private, chauffeur-driven road trips across New Zealand, so you see more of the country and spend less time behind the wheel.
Why we started Rerouted
We started Rerouted so visitors can enjoy New Zealand's roads and scenery without the stress of driving them.
Bhargav, Gayatri and Vik have lived in New Zealand for 17 years and have owned and operated hospitality businesses here. They saw a bigger problem facing tourists: unfamiliar roads, changing weather and, too often, accidents. That is why they started Rerouted.
The problem we solve
Driving in New Zealand is harder than it looks. Visitors face driving on the left, long distances, rental rules that differ between companies, and weather that can change in minutes, from wind gusts to snow, ice and road closures. When you are tired or unprepared, that is when accidents can happen.
Big group tours avoid the driving, but they rush you through the busiest stops.
Rerouted gives you the best of both: a small private group, a local who knows the roads and conditions at the wheel, and a plan we change the moment the weather does. You stay relaxed, you stay safe, and you enjoy New Zealand instead of worrying about it.
